Bill Skarsgard joins John Wick 4, according to reports circulating around the web today. You all probably know Skarsgard as Pennywise the clown from the two most recent IT films, which were actually reboots.
Skarsgard is known for his role in IT and a few other horror movies, but he’s never really been known for any action films. One could argue there’s some action in horror movies but certainly nothing like what John Wick brings to the table.
Still, we think Skarsgard will do just fine. The man is an incredibly talented actor, so whatever his role is in John Wick 4 we bet he’ll nail it. With that being said there is actually very little known about his role in John Wick 4. There’s actually very little known about John Wick 4 in general.
Collider are the ones who reported on this exciting news. They couldn’t reveal what his role in the movie was, unfortunately, but they did get the exclusive. Still, it feels like it came completely out of the blue.
There’s only one thing tying Skarsgard to John Wick 4. You may remember that Skarsgard had a small cameo in Deadpool 2. Well, Skarsgard worked with David Leitch on Deadpool 2, and Leitch is co-directing John Wick 4.
John Wick 4 has certainly been gathering an interesting cast of characters! Skarsgard is joining Shamier Anderson, Rina Sawayama, and Donnie Yen. Though, one sad tidbit is that the creator of John Wick will not be working on this film.
Derek Kolstad, the creator, said this to Collider some time ago.
“I’m actually not involved in four and five. No. At a certain stage of the studio will tell you, your creation is graduated, and you wish it well. I’m still close with Chad [Stahelski], still close with Dave [Leitch], and I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I’m excited to see.”
If you can’t get enough John Wick, there’s also a TV series spin-off on the way! In the meantime, are you glad that Bill Skarsgard joins John Wick 4 in an unknown role? Let us know in the comments.
