The new trailer for the Foo Fighters-starring horror comedy Studio 666 hints that Dave Grohl is possessed.
The trailer is our most thorough look yet at what the film has to offer, following a brief teaser that debuted last month.
The film also features stand-up comedians Will Forte, Jeff Garlin, and Whitney Cummings in addition to the band’s members. The plot of the movie revolves around Foo Fighters finding the Encino mansion, which they believe is ideal for recording their 10th studio album because of its stunning acoustics.
However, a dark air seems to hang in the house like a thick fog, as each member of the band encounters severe writer’s block that even musician and cameo star Lionel Richie can’t alleviate.
When more and more beings enter our world via the house’s apparent ability to bring such things, everything takes a turn for the strange. Grohl seems to be possessed by them, which proves to be a boon to his songwriting abilities while being an absolute pain in the ass for his bandmates. The Foo Fighter members who survive Grohl’s reign
Fans of rock comedy Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, in which Grohl plays Satan, and campy horror classic Evil Dead, both of which include references to the Foo Fighters’ “Evermore” music video, are likely to enjoy this new film.
