Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are getting ready to divorce. Kanye has reportedly hired a new lawyer in their divorce proceedings, according to TMZ. According to the site, West hired Melinda Gates’ former attorney as his new counsel.
West has hired several attorneys to help him with his divorce from Kardashian, which is expected to cost billions of dollars. His latest hire is Robert Stephan Cohen of Cohen Clair Lans Greifer Thorpe & Rottenstreich LLP. In addition to representing Melinda Gates, Cohen has also worked with Chris Rock, Rupert Murdoch, and Athina Onassis.
Salick of Salick Family Law Group, APLC Because Cohen is based in New York and the divorce case is taking place in Los Angeles, West had to Salick, a California-based attorney, to represent him.
For some time, West and Kardashian’s divorce has been a contentious issue.
